London Spirit have completed their first major recruitment push for the 2026 season of The Hundred, announcing eight high-profile direct signings before the player auction scheduled for March.
The list is headlined by Dewald Brevis, Adam Zampa and Marizanne Kapp, with all three set to feature for the Lord’s-based franchise in 2026. They are joined by Liam Livingstone, Jamie Overton, Mahika Gaur, Charlie Dean and Grace Harris.
Of the eight players, Dean, Harris and Overton represented London Spirit during the 2025 season, while the remaining five will be making their first appearances for the franchise in the upcoming campaign.
Men’s head coach Andy Flower expressed his enthusiasm about the signings, highlighting both familiarity and fresh partnerships. He said he was looking forward to working with Brevis and Zampa, while also continuing his associations with Livingstone and Overton. Flower added that the group’s extensive experience across franchise cricket worldwide would form a strong base for the squad, with further quality additions expected at the auction.
Women’s head coach Jon Lewis echoed those sentiments, praising the calibre of players secured for the women’s side. He noted that fans would be pleased to see the return of Dean and Harris, while Gaur and Kapp were expected to add significant skill and experience to the bowling unit.
The signings were announced on the same day London Spirit revealed a refreshed brand identity and new digital platforms. In a major off-field development ahead of the 2026 season, the England and Wales Cricket Board confirmed that a 51% stake in the franchise has been transferred to Marylebone Cricket Club, with the remaining 49% acquired by US-based technology investment group Tech Titans.
Earlier, London Spirit appointed Mo Bobat as their first Director of Cricket, while Heather Knight took on the role of the franchise’s first Women’s General Manager.
The franchise’s board will be chaired by Julian Metherell and will include Rob Lawson, Donna Marie-Cullen, Eoin Morgan, Nikesh Arora, Egon Durban and Satyan Gajwani.
The final make-up of both men’s and women’s squads will be completed at the Hundred auction in March.
