Delhi Capitals will take on Punjab Kings in IPL 2026 as they look to bounce back from poor form, while PBKS enter the clash unbeaten this season.
Delhi started strong with two wins but have lost three of their last four matches. They are now sixth in the points table and need a turnaround quickly.
Batting inconsistency remains DC’s biggest concern. KL Rahul has regained form, but Pathum Nissanka has been inconsistent with both quick runs and early dismissals.
The No. 3 position has been unstable, with multiple players tried and an average of just 14.66. Nitish Rana recently responded with a fifty after being dropped earlier.
Sameer Rizvi’s form has dipped after a strong start, and captain Axar Patel is yet to deliver a big knock. Delhi are still waiting for a complete team performance.
In bowling, Lungi Ngidi has impressed and filled the gap left by Mitchell Starc. However, the spin department is struggling.
Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel have taken only 10 wickets combined in Delhi since IPL 2025. Their performance will be key in this match.
Punjab Kings, on the other hand, are dominating IPL 2026. They are unbeaten with 11 points from six matches, including one washout.
Their batting unit has been explosive, chasing 200+ targets and also posting the highest total of the season.
Arshdeep Singh is back in form, strengthening the bowling attack. Shashank Singh has also contributed as a part-time bowler.
Delhi Capitals must improve quickly if they want to stay in the playoff race, but Punjab Kings will be a tough challenge.
