A superb 55-ball century from Narayan Jagadeesan powered India A to a convincing 38-run victory over the United States of America in a T20 World Cup warm-up match.
Jagadeesan led the charge with an authoritative 104, striking 11 fours and four sixes. He was given early support by Priyansh Arya, who provided a brisk start with 28 off just 13 deliveries.
Returning to action, Tilak Varma added stability with a fluent 38 off 24 balls. Captain Ayush Badoni then accelerated at the death, blasting a 26-ball 60 as India A posted a formidable 238 for 3 in 20 overs.
The USA showed fighting spirit in reply. Andries Gous (44) and Sanjay Krishnamurthi (41) played aggressive knocks, while late cameos from Harmeet Singh and Mohammad Mohsin helped the side reach 200.
India A’s bowlers eventually tightened the screws. Leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi picked up 3 for 37, while Khaleel Ahmed and Naman Dhir claimed two wickets each. The USA were bowled out with two balls remaining.

Afghanistan made an impressive start to their T20 World Cup warm-up campaign with a dominant 61-run win over Scotland in Bengaluru.
After losing two early wickets, Afghanistan recovered through a crucial 82-run partnership between Darwish Rasooli and Ibrahim Zadran. Rasooli was the standout performer, hammering 84 with seven fours and five sixes, while Zadran contributed 36.
Veteran all-rounder Mohammad Nabi added late momentum with a quick 34 off 16 balls, lifting Afghanistan to 184 for 6.
Scotland’s chase never took off. Azmatullah Omarzai starred with the ball, returning figures of 3 for 14, while Nabi and Ziaur Rahman Sharifi picked up two wickets each to bowl Scotland out for 123.
